Why does the new Outlook no longer support Comcast email?

I recently changed to a newer computer and had to install the free Microsoft 365. In Outlook, on my old computer, I used an Email Adress from Comcast. Now I'm trying to set up that email address in my new machine and don't see how to do that. I do not want an Outlook email address, or an alias, I want my existing comcast dot net email address, and the many emails I had from that machine, to flow into my new Outlook on my new machine.

Why does the new Outlook no longer support Comcast email?
Hi Tom H!
To set up your existing Comcast email address as the primary email box in Outlook within your free version of Microsoft 365, you can follow these steps:
* Open Outlook on your new machine> Click on the "File" tab in the top-left corner and select "Add Account" from the dropdown menu.
* On the "Welcome to Outlook" screen, enter your Comcast email address in the provided field and click on the "Connect" button.
* Outlook will attempt to automatically configure the email account. If it successfully detects the settings, it will proceed with the setup process. If not, it may ask you to manually enter the email settings.
* If prompted to manually enter the email settings, choose the "IMAP" or "POP" option, depending on your Comcast email account's configuration. Generally, IMAP is recommended for syncing emails across multiple devices.
* Outlook will attempt to connect to your Comcast email server and verify the settings. If everything is configured correctly, it will set up your Comcast email account in Outlook.
Once the setup is complete, you should see your Comcast email account listed in the left sidebar of Outlook, along with any existing emails associated with that account.
Kindly let me know, if you require additional assistance, I will be glad to help further.

Good afternoon.
Since changing to 365, I have never been able to "send" an email from my Comcast account set up in Outlook. Now, after the recent data breach they had, I have had to change my password. I have attempted to change my password in Outlook, however, the response is that Outlook cannot confirm the server settings. I know that these have not changed.
What's the best fix?
My Free Version has no FILE option at the top bar. ~Tom
Thank you for your informative Reply. Unfortunately, at the top of my Free 365 Outlook bar there is no tab called File. I've seen it on other machines but not on mine! I am also being shown a bunch of options to select an Alias, in Outlook. Is my long standing Comcast email an Alias? I will need detailed instructions I guess and I seem to recall years ago, when I set it up with Comcast as it being a POP address type. Thanks for helping me out!
