[Windows 11] Sync problems with OneDrive

My problem is the following:

I am having unexpected trouble with syncing my OneDrive - Personal on both my Windows 11 Pro machines.
They seem to only download and no longer upload. At the same time I am getting the error message shown below:

And the tray icon is only show "Looking for changes"

Has anyone got a clue on how to fix this issue? Are others having the same problem?

As far as I know I didn't change anything to the configuration of the machines or the settings in OneDrive.

I'm having the issue on:

AMD based desktop
Intel based laptop
Windows 11 Pro (22621.1778)
OneDrive (23.107.0521.0001)

I've tried al the online solutions I could find, but none of them solved the issue so far. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately the suggestion you gave is for Mac OS Big Sur and not Win 11 which Grozne said they are running.

I too am running into sync issues. They have only started with recent Win 11 Pro updates this past week.

So far, all suggestions I have found on how to reset OneDrive fail for these reasons:

    1. Outdated - don't work on Win 11
    2. Appropriate for Mac OS and Mobile Devices and definitely not Win 11.
    3. The recommendation is nothing more than signing out and signing back in.

    For me, I have tried:

    1. closing and reopening the app.
The errant files sync. But this doesn't fix the ongoing issue.

    2. Logging out of OneDrive and Logging back in.
And waiting an hour or two for it to fully synch my files.

But then it hangs on one or two specific files every time they get updated.

In my case, the files that hang are consistently 4 specific files. Three specific excel spreadsheets and one word document.

I have OneDrive set to keep all my files on my computer. I do NOT allow Office to perform synchronization because THAT insists files MUST reside in the cloud. NO! I do NOT want my files residing in the cloud by default. I use my computer offline a lot. I need all files natively on my computer and synching to the cloud when it is possible.

This has mostly worked for years. Except for the rare times OneDrive breaks.

I have no O365 Personal software running on the laptop, yet I have the same issue as on the desktop.

Your suggestion didn't fix my problem on the desktop.

If you are using O365 Personal you post to the Office group, not win.

    In the mean time;

Restart the PC, once fully loaded, repair Office,> Apps & Features>Select Office your version>Modify /Repair, once the repair completes re-test (Quick repair)
