How do I sync One Note on my Mac with One Note on my iPhone app?

When I open One Note on my Macbook, I don't see the notes that are on my iPhone app. When I got to my menu and choose "sync all notesbooks," nothing happens.

The notebook I put into my One Note on my Macbook also doesn't transfer to my iPhone app.

Macbook info:

MacOSVentura 13.4.1(c)

Thank you.

    Hello there,

First, make sure you are signed in with the same Microsoft account on both your Mac and iPhone's OneNote app. This is essential for synchronization to work correctly.

If you've confirmed that you are using the same Microsoft account on both devices and still facing sync issues, follow these troubleshooting steps:

    1. Check Internet Connection: Ensure that both your Mac and iPhone are connected to the internet. Synchronization requires an active internet connection to transfer data between devices.
    2. Update OneNote: Make sure you are using the latest version of OneNote on both your Mac and iPhone. Outdated versions may have compatibility issues, which can affect syncing. Check for updates in the App Store (iPhone) and Microsoft AutoUpdate (Mac) and install any available updates.
    3. Restart OneNote: On both devices, close the OneNote app completely and then reopen it. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary sync problems.
    4. Force Sync: On your Mac's OneNote app, click on "Notebooks" in the left-hand sidebar, then right-click (or Control-click) on the notebook you want to sync. From the context menu, choose "Sync This Notebook Now." On your iPhone, pull down on the notebooks list to force a sync.
    5. Check OneDrive Account: OneNote stores your notebooks in OneDrive. Ensure that the notebook you are trying to sync is saved in the same OneDrive account associated with your Microsoft account on both devices.
    6. Check OneDrive Storage: Verify that you have sufficient storage space on your OneDrive account. If you are nearing your storage limit, it may affect synchronization.
    7. Reinstall OneNote: If the issue persists, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the OneNote app on both devices. This can help resolve any potential app-related glitches.
