How do I remove the section 2 header & footer but keep the section 1 header and footer.

I need to keep page 1 (section 1 Header & Footer) unchanged but remove the header & footer from pages 2, 3 & 4 (section 2 Header & Footer).

    Hi Gavin B

I’m Segunfunmi, an Independent Advisor and Microsoft user like you. Thanks for posting the query here in this forum.

To remove the header and footer from Section 2 while keeping the header and footer from Section 1, you need to turn off the link between the sections and delete the section break. Alternatively, you can select Options > Remove Headers & Footers on the top right side of the document. You can also double-click the header or footer area to open the Header & Footer tab, then select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections. After that, select Header or Footer and choose Remove Header or Remove Footer.

Is there anything else you need help with?

Access the Header in Section 2 and click on the Link to Previous button to unlink the Header in Section 2 from that in Section 1. You will then be able to delete the Header from Section 2 without affecting that in Section 1. Likewise for the Footer in Section 2.
