Opening an XML file

I have an XML file that opens correctly using Internet Explorer 11. It also opens correctly if I choose Office XML Handler.

But if I try opening it using Microsoft Edge, all I see if a blank screen.

Any suggestions since I don't know how much longer you will allow IE to reside on our machines?

I was able to get it to work by using the feature of Edge known as "Reload in Internet Explorer Mode". See the attached screenshot.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, those suggestions didn't resolve the problem (InPrivate browser, Clearing the Cache, and other browsers - Google Chrome). I'll try asking the Edge experts

    Dear Kris Sathia,

    Good day!!

I understand your concern and when I have tested the behavior at my end, I can open the XML file in the Edge browser without any issue. Since you are not able to open XML file in the Microsoft Edge, I would like you to open the InPrivate browser of Microsoft Edge and locate to the XML file, then drag and drop the XML file into the InPrivate browser of Microsoft Edge to see whether it opens.

If yes, then you can try clearing the Microsoft Edge Cache and check the outcome. Moreover, you can also try opening the XML file in the different browser via dragging the XML and dropping it in browser.

If the problem persist even after trying in the InPrivate browser of Microsoft Edge, I suggest you post your concern in the Microsoft Edge category of this Microsoft Community to get the help from Edge experts.
