How to mirror images in word

Can anyone provide step by step instructions for mirroring an image in word?

    1. Place the image in Word.
    2. Click on the middle square at the right-hand side (circled below):
    3. Drag it to the left, moving the cursor off the page. You have to drag the right edge past the left edge of the image.
    4. If necessary, drag the image back onto the text area.
    5. Make any fine adjustments to the width. The result:

    The same directions work for an image. Treat it like the textbox.

    This is wonderful! Thank you so much for the illustrated instructions. This will be such a game changer for me because not only will I be able to utilize this info but the stress level and tension build up will finally ease up. Thank you so much. By the way, nice photo for the illustration.

    Thank you for sharing. I had not seen this before.

    This works great with images, but does not work with Word shapes, even though they are graphical elements.

    Your method is much simpler with images, changing the rotation on the X axis by 180 degrees works on both.
