Purchase OneDrive Storage ONLY....No Apps

How & WHERE can I purchase (JUST) OneDrive storage, WITHOUT Subscribing to the Apps? I have exceed the 5GB Free capacity. I have read you can purchase 100GB of OneDrive Storage ONLY (without the Apps), for $1.99/mo or $20/Yr. BUT, I cannot find anywhere on the OneDrive website where MS offers a Lease/Rent option for JUST Storage! Everywhere I've clicked, MS points you to Subscriptions to various MS 365 options, which come WITH OneDrive Storage! I JUST purchased a NEW license to MS Office Pro 2021, so I do NOT need the Apps! I haven't even had success moving files from OneDrive BACK to my Desktop--so that I'm NO LONGER EXCEEDING the 5GB limit)! Most of the files were stored on my Desktop BEFORE I upgraded to Win 11 Pro over the weekend! If I cannot rent additional storage ONLY, then I need some help figuring out HOW to get some of those file OUT of OneDrive and back onto my desktop! This has been frustrating and time-consuming! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Hello HansV MVP. I just saw this posting and I clicked on the link you provided and the "upgraded" plan for MicroSoft Personal to get the larger amount of storage is priced at $59.99. Yet on my personal account, when I clicked through to "manage my plan," I see the price of $69.99 for the same thing?!?!? How can I get the $10.00 difference back now? Also, as per the OP, why doesn't MS just offer the storage alone? I don't need the APP suite of the software programs. Thank you.

No, you do not need to uninstall Office 2021. Microsoft 365 Basic is web-only: it provides OneDrive storage and an ad-free version of web-based Outlook. It does not affect your Office 2021 apps.

I don't know anything about QuickBooks, sorry.

That is exactly what I wanted to know also Hans. I was concerned about it blowing up the REAL Outlook with the garbage freebie Outlook app. I assumed that it would not, but Microsoft support was unable to tell me that. You know what assume means, right? :-) So, I opted to just forget about it. Besides, ignoring it has ZERO effect on Outlook contrary to the message that they keep spamming at me. I can still send and receive messages. No problem. I found that the best way around this whole thing is just to uninstall One Drive and throw it in the garbage where it obviously should be.

Thank you very much. That's what I thought. I just didn't want to screw up anything. I already have enough of a nightmare to try to resolve. Have a great rest of your week; and thank you, again. Your help is very much appreciated.
