How can I turn my word file into a picture object that I can import anywhere (such as Ingram's book-builder tool, which only accepts jpg. or png. files)?

My word file includes special fonts that are not available within Ingram's book-builder tool and a picture that is placed behind the text. What I want to do is tie font and picture together, turn it into an importable object - which, apparently, must be either a jpg. or a png. file if it is to apply to Ingram's tool - and use it there. Help? Thank you.

    Hi Julie M!

Have you tried using the PowerPoint features? as it has the feature to save or export file as JPEG or PNG, though it may not be a perfect app for word document, but you can achieve the conversion with it.

You can try copy the cover page of the Word file to MS PowerPoint, do edition and then save or export it in JPEG or PNG format.

    Best Regards, Shakiru

I think you're misreading Ingram's technical requirements. On this introductory page, it specifically mentions being able to format and upload a Word document, not JPG or PNG files: INGRAMSPARK’S BOOK-BUILDING TOOL

Thank you for your suggestion. I did try converting my word file to a pdf file first as suggested and the text part of the file converted quite well, but unfortunately, it ended up as text only; the picture part got left behind entirely! In word, I had used the text wrapping tool, placing the picture behind the text, but it seems the two things (text and picture) don't convert together when changing a file from word to pdf. I don't know whether it's possible to tie them both together or not.

    Hello,

Thank you for coming to the forum. I am sorry about the challenge you are facing, and I will be happy to assist in the best way I can.

Please correct me if I am getting you wrong, but is this the problem: You designed something in Word and you want to export it to .jpg or .png?

There is no direct way to export the Word file to .jpg. You will need to export it to one format, then from that format to jpeg.

Click the link below, they are suggestions which can aid you to achieve this. https://www.wikihow.com/Change-a-Word-Document-to-JPEG-Format
