Microsoft Publisher - How to set Color Model to CMYK for export to pdf

I would like to export a Publisher project to pdf - I have used the various methods available but I would like to change from RGB default to CMYK and understand from the following article that this should be possible

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/publication-is-in-rgb-mode-47a086c6-b73e-4159-90f7-abddeeb044ff

I don't know where to find the necessary buttons - I can export pdf for commercial press, but I cannot find settingswhere I can choose CMYK ?

The article says 'apply this fix' - what fix, via what menu/buttons ?

I have placed beow a screenshot of the route chosen and settings I can see.

Advice from community would be much appreciated

thank you

Dave

MICROSOFT, this is your application and forum supported by you at microsoft.com. DO BETTER. Either bring back CMYK color management for professional printing or clarify that Publisher 365 simply does NOT support commercial printing. The internet is all over the place on this and it is obvious it does not support any type of conversion from RGB and CMYK.

Brian, thank you for the sanity check.

This is misinformation - plain and simple. Answering that CMYK export is available on any version of Publisher in the last decade is misleading and lazy. This old feature of Publisher should be brought back to improve the software. MICROSOFT - PLEASE REVISE all your forum pages on this important topic to reflect the reality of the last decade. Do not allow misinformation to stay posted. THANK YOU!

Hi - thanks for your prompt reply. I am running the 'latest' version of Publisher which I assume is 2021 or 2022 - I did a software update via Office 365 yesterday - the info in the app is

    Microsoft® Publisher for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2211 Build 16.0.15831.20098) 32-bit

I ran the Design Checker as you suggested, but can find no option for Commercial Printing Checks, or RGB, CMYK options - all the available options are on attached screenshot. Using the inbuilt help (also shown on screenshot) still brings up reference to being able to change from RGB to CMYK, this is exactly the guidance in the first link I sent in opening query.

I suspect the feature has been disabled as you suggest - but current 'help' suggests otherwise - someone at MS ought to be able to confirm this....but who, I wonder - I spent an hour going round in circles with MS online support yesterday and they directed me here.

    thanks again

    Dave

Sorry, but MSFT removed support for CMYK colors as of Pub 2013. To my knowledge they have not brought it back:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/change-publication-colors-in-publisher-2013-cp/fcd844d7-ca78-4955-aae8-c049fba9f6a4

I would love to be wrong about this but when you get the Color Model dialog the CMYK option has been removed. Here is what it looked like in Pub 2010:

I don't have the current version of Publisher but if you check your Color Model dialog I would expect the Process colors (CMYK) option has been removed.

Again, I hope I am wrong and MSFT brought back this option.

Thank you John - unfortunately I cant find 'tools' - where exactly is this ? I have looked extensively including in options. It is not one of the tabs on my menu bar. The only place I can find Tools is on the Save as dialogue box at the foot - and it will only give me the option 'map network drive'
