The usual issue are columns full of formulas that doesn't calculate anything.

Go from sheet to sheet and press CTRL+END to jump to the last used cell. If you can't see your data from that cell scroll up / left till you see it, select all rows below you data till the end of the sheet and delete the rows. Do the same for columns.

Locate and reset the last cell on a worksheet - Excel

In most cases, this will significantly reduce file size/load time and file behavior will return to normal.

    Andreas.

    Dear Santhosh,

If the file contains a lot of data such as some hidden sheets, some blank space, some formula and some custom formatting, automatic calculation, picture resolution and pivot table cache and so on, the file size may become large.

I suggest you check whether there are some unwanted content mentioned above existing in the file you are using first. Clicking on Review>Workbook Statistics in Excel may be helpful to some extent.

You may manually check whether unwanted and unused content exists in your file and remove them to see the result. If you are using the Automatic calculation, I suggest you change it to Manual under the Formula tab in Excel.

If you haven't checked other suggestions mentioned in Reduce the file size of your Excel spreadsheets - Microsoft Support, I suggest you check them and take the actions to see if the file size can be reduced.

Thanks for your effort and time.

    Sincerely
