How can I FILL down a common date across multiple lines of data

In the past I made frequent use of "Fill" to apply a common date across multiple lines of data. (Down, right etc.)

I am not finding "Fill" in tool bar of Excel in 365. Ctrl+D drops the date in series rather than constant.

    Hello Richard,

I'm Ibhadighi and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

In Excel 365, the “Fill” command can be found on the Home tab, in the Editing group. To fill a series of cells with the same value, select the cells you want to fill, type the value into the active cell, and then click the “Fill” button and choose the appropriate direction (Down, Right, etc.) from the drop-down menu.

Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Enter to fill all selected cells with the same value. Simply select the cells you want to fill, type the value into the active cell, and then press Ctrl+Enter.

    Best Regards, IBHADIGHI

Thank you! The Ctrl + Enter works for me.

    Here is the commands location:

Ctrl+D and Ctrl+R still work as always as do the Down and Right commands above.

If you want a sequence you can use Series, or drag the fill handle with the right or left mouse button being held down. The results of Flash Fill will depend on the adjacent data.
