Extra margins when printing booklets

I'm having trouble printing booklets. I have the margins set to .8" inside, .5" outside, .9" top, and .6" bottom. However, when I go to print, all the margins are greater than an inch from the edge of the page and less than half an inch from the binding side. Changing the margins in Word changes them in the program, but it still prints with the same margins before they were changed. However, documents that aren't booklets print with the correct margins. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Word, and made sure it's the most recent version, but the problem still continues.

Accepting Doug's offer to look at the document is probably your best bet, but you could also post a screen shot of the Page Setup dialog and the resulting page and/or post a copy of the document online and provide a link.

If you send me a copy of the document, referencing this thread in the covering email message, I will investigate the issue.

I've tried printing from other programs and even a non-booklet word document. As long as it isn't a booklet, everything else prints with correct margins.

I'm even getting incorrect margins when I print to PDF rather than the physical printer, so it's not the printer.

This could be an issue with your printer, especially if you are duplexing, but I can't see why it would affect the inside margins.

I can try sending it when I get back from work, but this is affecting multiple documents in booklet format, not just one.

I will add that when I accidentally printed one sided, rather than 2, the margins printed correctly. But this has only affected Word documents. Booklets and pages printed from other programs print with correct margins, so I don't think it's the printer.
