How tough can it be to make it so that you can Save your work when you edit it? Really !

We need a form that the user can save their progress, and return multiple times over the course of weeks, before finally submitting the results. I see that this feature has been requested for a few years. Is Microsoft going to add it? I don't see a definitive answer. I already voted for the feature.
It would be helpful to know if it will ever happen. We need to use an alternative solution in the meantime, we would just like to know if we need the Plan B solution for weeks, months, or years - or a permanent alternative solution.
Thanks,

this feature is a must, pls get it on the road map
Also checking in on this request. Is there somewhere we can vote for it to be moved onto the Roadmap?
Thank you!
Not just the save to return function, but the ability to group complete forms, and have answers amongst that save. I need to use forms for facilities questionnaires, where the responses come from engineers, service people, law enforcement and decision-makers. Do you think all those people will huddle around one computer? Do you think they are all on the same schedule? If Forms wants to be more than SurveyMonkey, it needs to grow...
We use MS Forms with different stakeholders and with some larger questionnaires. Would be great to have a feature to store interim results.
Best regards,
Tobias
