Yes the issue did happen suddenly.

I believe it happened immediately after I attempted to restore a previous version of a file. During the restore Excel crashed.

I then reopened the file and successfully restored to a previous version, and then quickly noticed the issue.

The options are not greyed out, they are completely missing from the menu, same as the previous person who posted here.

As far as I know this is not happened yet to any of my immediate coworkers anyway.

    Dear LAH2023,

Thanks for your updates and providing the Account page screenshot in your environment for our confirmation.

I did a test with the latest version number of the Office applications in Semi-Annual Channel and I can't reproduce the issue in our environment.

As you aren't using the latest version number of the Office applications and the update setting is controlled by your company administrator, I kindly suggest you prepare a test computer and install the latest version number of the Office applications in Semi-Annual Channel to see whether the issue disappears.

If yes, you may contact the administrator for updating the Office applications to move forward.

Thank you for your effort and time!

    Sincerely

    Dear LAH2023,

Do you mean that you can't see the following options in your environment? Do other users encounter the same issue in your organization?

Could you upload some screenshots showing the issue in your environment and upload a full screenshot of the Account page in the Excel application you are using for our reference? You can click on File>Account to access the Account page.

Note: Remove any private information before uploading the screenshots.

If you do a test with a sample table in a newly created Excel file, what's the result?

If you haven't tried Online Repair, I suggest you go to Control Panel>click on Programs>right-click on the Office applications' icon>Change>check whether there is an Online Repair option. If yes, back up the data, run it, restart the computer and then open any application again to see the result.

Thank you for your effort and time!

    Sincerely

    Hi Cliff,

Correct, I no longer have the option to highlight rows or columns, right click and select insert or delete. Now when I want to insert a row or column, I have to go to the Home tab and insert/delete there. I know of one co-worker who has the same issue. Here's a screen shot of what is left on my right click menu:

And here is a screen shot of my account page:

Let me know if you need me to try something else. In the meantime, i'll try the online repair you suggested. Thanks for your quick response!

    Laurie
