Mac Excel doesn't have that functionality. It's an Excel for Windows feature only not found in the online web app, either.

Hi,
I have Excel 365, version 16.77) installed on my Mac.
When using Find and Replace the popup menu appears but the format option next to the Find what box is missing.
Attached I marked in red the missing format boxes

Oh dear - it looks like that option is only available in Excel for Windows, not Excel for Mac...
Does the dialog have an "Options >>" button? If so, click it.
