    Hello ,

I'm Shalom and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with Microsoft Word, specifically related to copying, pasting, and saving documents. Here are some steps you can try to resolve these issues:

    1. Restart Word: Sometimes, simply closing and reopening Microsoft Word can resolve temporary glitches.
    2. Restart your Computer: A system restart can also help in clearing any temporary issues that might be affecting Word.
    3. Check File Permissions:

    a. Make sure you have the necessary permissions to save files in the destination folder. Try saving the document in a different location to see if the issue persists. b. If you're on a network or using a shared computer, check with your system administrator or IT support to ensure you have the right permissions.

4.Disable Add-ins: Sometimes, third-party add-ins can cause conflicts with Word. Try disabling any add-ins you might have installed and see if the issue is resolved.

    1. Repair Office Installation:

If the problem persists, you can try repairing your Microsoft Office installation. In Windows, you can go to "Control Panel" > "Programs and Features" (or "Add or Remove Programs") > find Microsoft Office in the list, right-click, and select "Change" or "Repair."

    1. Check for Updates:

Ensure that you have the latest updates installed for both Microsoft Word and your operating system. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements.

    1. Clear Clipboard:

Sometimes issues with copy and paste can be due to clipboard conflicts. Try clearing your clipboard by copying some other text or content and then attempting to copy and paste again in Word.

    1. Try Safe Mode:

You can try starting Word in Safe Mode. To do this, press and hold the "Ctrl" key while opening Word. This will prevent any add-ins or custom settings from loading. If the issue doesn't occur in Safe Mode, it might be related to an add-in.

    1. Antivirus/Security Software:

In some cases, antivirus or security software can interfere with file operations. Temporarily disabling such software might help identify if it's causing the issue.

    1. User Profile Corruption:
    • If the problem persists, it's possible that your user profile has become corrupted. You might need to create a new user profile on your computer and test if Word functions correctly there.

    Best Regards, Shalom
