I accidentally removed OneNote as a printer option. I need to be able to print there for school. I am not sure how to add it back now.

    Hi

I'm Taiwo and I'd happily help you with your question. In this Forum, We are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

You can add it back using the following steps:

    1. Open the Windows Settings app by pressing the Windows key + I on your keyboard
    2. Click on "Devices"
    3. Click on "Printers & scanners"
    4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Add a printer or scanner"
    5. Wait for Windows to detect available printers and scanners.
    6. If OneNote appears in the list of available devices, select it and click "Add device."
    7. If OneNote does not appear in the list of available devices, click on "The printer that I want isn't listed."
    8. On the "Add Printer" screen, select "Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings."
    9. Click "Next."
    10. Select "Microsoft" as the manufacturer and "Send to OneNote 2016" or "Send to OneNote 2013" as the printer model, depending on your version of OneNote.
    11. Click "Next."
    12. Choose a name for the printer and click "Next."
    13. Choose whether to share the printer or not and click "Next."
    14. Click "Finish."

OneNote should now appear as a printer option when you go to print a document or file.

I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.

    Best Regards, Thank You.

OK- you nailed it... I just upgraded from a Surface Pro 6 to a Surface Pro 9 with the ARM chipset. Looks like I'll "print to PDF" and then insert PDF printout into OneNote. Thanks for the help. I'll send some 'feedback' to the Surface and OneNote teams respectively ;-)

Thanks, however my computer only offered the "Send to Microsoft OneNote 15 Driver" and when I installed that printer, I then get an error message that says: However that Microsoft XPS Essentials Pack is no longer available. Any additional tips on getting "Print to OneNote" working?
