Add-Ins group/button on the Home tab. Added with version 2308. Unable to remove.

The latest update in the monthly release channel includes a new group containing one button on the Home tab.

It seems to duplicate the first Add-Ins button on the Developer Tab but with a different icon and does not show up in the Customize the Ribbon dialog.

I object and have left feedback about it. To me this is a bug.

    One workaround is to create a duplicate Home tab using the Customize the Ribbon dialog.

    Hi,

    To remove this group from the Home ribbon do the following:

    1. Choose File, More, Options, Customize Ribbon
    2. From the Customize the Ribbon drop down on the right pick Main Tabs
    3. Double-click Add-ins

    To restore it choose Main tabs from the Choose commands from drop down and double click Add-ins.

    This group can now be removed/added using the Customize the Ribbon feature in the Windows versions.

    .

    New problem: It has now been added at the top of the Backstage [File] menu, as well. Someone is really trying to push these!

    Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

    Thanks for sharing this and we did reproduce the situation that the new add-ins option under the Home tab is not showing in Customize Ribbon so that users can only hide it by right-clicking.
