DOES NOT WORK
Hi Milton H!
I am Shakiru, an independent advisor and a user like you, and I am glad to be helping you out today.
To delete a Word document in Microsoft 365, you can follow these steps:
* Open File Explorer on your computer and navigate to the folder where the document is saved. * Find the file you want to delete and right-click on it. * Click "Delete" from the drop-down menu that appears. * If you're sure you want to delete the file, click "Yes" on the confirmation prompt that appears.
Alternatively, you can also delete the file from within Word: * Open the Word document you want to delete. * Click on the "File" tab in the top left corner of the screen. * Click "Close" to close the document. * In the "Recent" section of the main screen, hover your mouse over the document you want to delete. * Click the small "X" that appears in the top right corner of the document thumbnail. * If you're sure you want to delete the file, click "Yes" on the confirmation prompt that appears.
Repeat these steps for any other Word documents you want to delete.
Kindly let me know, if you require additional assistance, I will be glad to help further.
Best Regards, Shakiru
Doesn't work for me. Can't get the X to appear.
If you are using Word for Windows, do the following: Close the document. Then hold the Windows logo key as you press E, which opens File Explorer. Navigate to the file, select it and press Delete.
Can you right-click on the file in Windows Explorer/File Explorer and choose Delete?
