Planner and Project On Line

Hello everyone,

I am facing this problem: when I assign tasks in Project, they do not appear in Planner. I feel that the integration is confusing and even deceptive. We have a license for Project Plan 3, Plan 1 and Project Online Essentials. The idea is that as a project manager, I create the project, assign it to a group (and then create a team based on the existing group) and the tasks are created in Project. Then I assign them and I need my other two users, including myself, to see the tasks in the group's Planner.

This does not happen. The group's Planner tells me to go to Project and opens Project Web. Could you help me?

Thanks

Regards

Martin

    Hi Dale,

It's unfortunate this workflow isn't integrated yet. Having my Project tasks in the To-Do list would be helpful. Right now, we're using Power Automate to make it work.

Thanks for your help! Hopefully, they'll integrate it in the future.

    Best Regards!

    Martin --

Your expectations do not align with the current reality of how Planner and Project for the Web work. These are two different applications that currently do not "talk" to each other. Microsoft has discussed creating a single "tasks" app that shows a user all of the tasks to which they are assigned across all applications, but that tool does not currently exist. Sorry, but hope this helps.
