Are there any inventory worksheets in excel?

I’m just wondering if any of you brilliant folks have a good inventory worksheet you might want to share with me. I am not trying to copy something you’ve put a lot of effort into. The truth is that I have struggled for a long time with understanding the nuances of excel Sheets, like… exactly what it does and how it works. I can enter the data all day long… I can widen a cell and a column. SEE….I even know the difference between a column and a cell! But the excel I learned was 100 years ago! It certainly is NOT the same. And of course, I remember a whole lot of absolutely nothing at all! Yep, that much…

I have owned my own small business since 2014. I’ve kept all of my invoices and every single receipt I’ve received. I’ve kept them all in chronological order by date as well as by supplier. This is going to be a huge task! However, it’s one of those necessary evils that, as business owners must dealt with. Of course, I’m only just dealing with it now which in its own way, has now become its own punishment! Because, rather than enjoying myself outside in the 94* hot, sunny weather, on the beach, or on the boat, lounging on the chairs and sipping on a nice cold Truly, (Pineapple or Mango, personal favorites absolutely NO cherry,) or tubing, I’m here. Entering inventory from 2015. Inventory that’s been gone for years! The stack beside not appearing to have gone down even an 1/8 of an inch in the past two hours!

Please, don’t get me wrong. In my own defense, I have attempted, on numerous occasions, to put together some sort of system in using many different systems, to come up with a “Perfect Inventory System”. Then a “Good Inventory System”. Finally I decided I would settle for an “If The Freaking Numbers Come Somewhere Close We’re Good” system! However, I know that there is a much simpler solution, one I can do myself without having to spend a lot of money on costly software that, in the end, is only going to frustrate me. Sort of like all of my earlier attempts that all ended in failure!

Furthermore, I’m…. Ok? well I’m ok’ish, at figuring out the calculations once I have the data entered. But I know that the information is available and I’ll figure it out. It will not take long. Believe it or not, I am not an idiot. No, don’t be surprised. I actually do hold a few degrees in business and hold on…. I worked my entire career in finance! Whoda thunk it?

I am a metalsmith. Actually , I’m a goldsmith. I make upscale jewelry mainly for women. I might occasionally do a few men’s pieces. I’m not bias it’s just that my designs have a tendency to attract more women. What are ya gonna do? Hey, I have absolutely no problem in a man purchasing one of my awesome turquoise pendants! Or one of my one of a kind awesome gemstone rings! You can bet I will be his loudest champion! I say “Right on, take a look at this one too!”.
