Hello,

My Excel (Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019) crashes when I cut and paste pivot table values into a Google sheet. This started happening in July 2023...around the time I updated my PC

  • 2023-04 Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057)
  • 2023-06 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5027303)
  • 2023-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5028185)
  • 2023-07 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5028851).

Crash timeline:

  • Create pivot table on a file exported from Access.
  • Cut values from pivot table
  • Paste in to Google Sheets
  • Click back to Excel file
  • Excel file will automatically close

I tried the following to fix this issue:

  • Perform Office Update in Excel (Account >> Office Update)
  • Perform both a quick and full report on Microsoft Office Professional Plus 201 en-us
  • Perform Excel on safe mode
  • Disable Startup apps
  • Send my excel file to coworker to recreate the crash, but it did not happen on another computer. This may suggest my error is local on my computer.

Maybe look at the errors seen in Event Viewer
