Image Placement Issue between Sharepoint Web Word and Desktop App option

I'm trying to make edits for this Word Sharepoint document in desktop view mode. When I insert a pattern image in the desktop version, it does not save in the correct placement at the bottom of the document. Also, the document keeps expanding when I don't want it to. The image shows the result in the Web version.

The view of any document that you edit in SharePoint online, that is, when you use your web browser for editing, may be different compared to the desktop app (for Mac OS or Windows). This is a limitation with all the online versions of Word.

    Hello

I’m Adeyemi and I’d be happy to help you with your question.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with image placement in a Word SharePoint document when editing in desktop view mode. Here are some possible solutions that you can try:

    1. Check the text wrapping settings: Make sure that the text wrapping settings for the image are correctly configured. In the desktop version of Word, select the image, go to the Picture Format tab in the ribbon, click on Wrap Text, and choose the appropriate text wrapping option (e.g., "In Line with Text" or "Square").
    2. Check the position settings: Make sure that the position settings for the image are correctly configured. In the desktop version of Word, select the image, go to the Picture Format tab in the ribbon, click on Position, and choose the appropriate position option (e.g., "Top Left" or "Bottom Right").
    3. Check for compatibility issues: It's possible that there are compatibility issues between the desktop and web versions of Word that are causing the image placement issue. Try saving the document in a different format (e.g., .docx instead of .doc) or using a different version of Word to see if that resolves the issue.
