I have a nice picture of the prairies as my desktop background, but when I open my OneDrive for business folder the desktop goes black until I reset my computer. Is it possible to both use OneDrive and have a desktop background that is not black? Any help would be appreciated.

Dear Kyle,
Good day, thanks for querying in this forum, we’re happy to help you.
From your description, it seems that you Windows background has been changed to black if you open OneDrive for business client.
If my understanding is right, we have also tested it on our side and we cannot reproduce the same situation as yours.
We noticed that you have reset your windows and it works again, given this situation, to help narrow down this issue, we’d suggest you change another background image to check if the same problem will occur. If all images have the same problem, this issue may be related to your OneDrive client.
We’d suggest you try resetting your OneDrive to check if it will help: Reset OneDrive - Microsoft Support
At the same time, to better understand your situation, could you provide the information below?
If the scenario above is not consistent with yours, you can also post back and point that.
Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!
Sincerely,
