Hi FBS,
Thank you for reaching out to this forum. I'm Utkarsh and as a fellow Microsoft user, I'm here and ready to help you today. Note, that I am a user like you, this is a user forum and not Microsoft directly.
Here are the steps to personalize your Outlook email box:
- Open your web browser and go to the Outlook website (outlook.com) or launch the Outlook application on your computer if you have it installed.
- Enter your email address and password to sign in to your Outlook account.
- Access Settings:
-For Outlook.com (Web Version):
-Once you're logged in, click on the gear icon (Settings) located in the top-right corner of the Outlook.com interface.
-For Outlook Desktop Application (Windows):
-If you're using the desktop application, click on the "File" tab in the top left corner and select "Options."
- Personalize Your Outlook Email Box:
-Profile Picture: To add or change your profile picture, you can usually find an option like "Change picture" or "Profile settings" in the settings menu. Upload a picture of your choice.
-Theme and Background:
-For Outlook.com: In the settings menu, you can look for a "Theme" or "Appearance" option to change the theme color or background image. -For Outlook Desktop Application: In the "Options" menu, go to the "General" tab and look for "Office Theme" to change the color scheme.
-Email Signature:
-For both web and desktop versions, you can usually find an "Email Signature" or "Signature" option in the settings. Here, you can create and customize your email signature with your name, contact information, and other details.
Custom Folders and Categories:
-You can create custom folders and categories to organize your emails. In Outlook.com, you can right-click on your mailbox folders to create new ones. In the desktop application, you can right-click on your mailbox and choose "New Folder."
-Rules and Filters:
-To personalize how your emails are sorted and managed, you can set up rules and filters. In both the web and desktop versions, you'll typically find this option in the settings.
- Save Your Changes: After making your desired personalization settings, make sure to save your changes to apply them to your Outlook email box.
I would be more than happy to answer any other questions should you have them.
Warm Regards, Utkarsh
