How do I completely uninstall OneDrive?

When I tried following tips from YouTube, I think my OneDrive glitched because it still shows the folder. When I click on it, it says this folder does not exist. I also searched up "OneDrive" in Local Disk to delete any remnants, so I don't think that is the issue.

After this, the OneDrive folder gets erased, the "docuements" and "pictures" folders throw an error if one tries to open them. After a while the OneDrive folder re-appears, the "doc" and "pic" folders are once again accessible.

How do I say to windows to place my docs and pics folder back to the plain "C:\users\myusername"? Right now I think all programs and games have as default folder path the one ending in the onedrive folder, which make me go nuts.

I got these issues after a re-install of the OS.

I changed manually the registry entries, as shown here, but would have been there a more elegant and fool-proof way?

I’m also completely frustrated. As over the last couple weeks the notification storage is full, can’t send or receive emails. I’ve deleted & cleaned out as much as I can & got a few % back which is now full again. This must be Microsoft trying to get more money off us!! I have a Samsung phone, IPad & desktop computer & have followed various instructions but also some instructions I don’t see where they say go here & open this might not even show on my end. I wonder who we can call to get talked through how to fix it once & for all. Getting very angry with it all. Anyone had any luck? And still have access to photos etc.?

Hello, I too have un-installed One Drive (or so I though) following Ramikrushna's and Abdel's instructions. After re-booting my system, I checked Programs and Features to confirm that it had been un-installed. Also, I checked my User folder and deleted the One Drive folder. However, when I save/save as any Microsoft (Office) 365 app, it still displays my One Drive - Personal location to save the file to. I hope someone can help me to resolve this issue.

Unfortunately, these steps didn't work. All it did is change the cloud icon.

Is there anything else I could do.

Since Microsoft has decided to integrate this malware/spyware in Windows directly, not as a separately installable app, you won't be able to remove One Drive with a simple "uninstall", like the robots of society are telling you to in this post.

Until the EU saves Windows 11 users with the DMA, from the infant-brain CEOs that are literally running this company to the ground, I found this article on how to completely remove this unnecessary and unwanted bloatware from Windows 10 or 11:

Works fine for me on Windows 10, hope it helps you folks too.
