Hi Mohamad Ahmadzadeh,
Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. I understand that you are having trouble with converting ink to text on your Surface Pro 9 in OneNote, and you are missing the magical pen with the letter "A" that you had on your Surface Pro 7+.
We would like to ask for a few more details on this:
- May I know which Surface Pro 9 configuration do you have? Intel or 5G?
- You mentioned that this pen that we are trying to get is present on your Surface Pro 7+, is the Surface Pro 7+ running on Windows 11 also the same with the Surface Pro 9? Are you using also the OneNote from your Microsoft 365 subscription on your Surface Pro 9?
- Which OneNote application are you using on the Surface Pro 9? Is it the same application that you are using on the Surface Pro 7+?
- Please provide us with the version and build number of OneNote application that you are using on your Surface Pro 7+ and Surface Pro 9?
Firstly, I would like to inform you that the feature you are referring to is called Ink to Text, and it is available in OneNote for Windows 10. This feature allows you to convert your handwritten notes into typed text. However, the magical pen with the letter "A" that you mentioned is not a default pen in OneNote, and it might have been added by a third-party app or a previous user. It is possible also that the pen that has the letter "A" on it, might have been added by a third-party app. I tried this also on my end on a laptop running on Windows 10 and also got no option for the said pen in both OneNote for Windows 10 and OneNote from Microsoft 365. You can try to check if any third-party apps are installed on your Surface Pro 7 Plus that might have added this pen. You can also try to check if any other users have access to your Surface Pro 7 Plus and might have added this pen.
Kind regards,
Marrion
