I have been trying to download files for my school work on Word but when I download them, they do not appear on Word. How do I fix this?

I have been trying to download files for my school work on Word but when I download them, they do not appear on Word. How do I fix this?

    What folder are you downloading them to? In Word, navigate to that folder and open them from there.

    Greetings! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

    As MVP Suzanne suggested, you may navigate to the folder which you download the files to, then open them. (for example, the Downloads folder, Documents folder, Desktop folder in File Explorer)

    By the way, if you download those files from a browser, you may also go to check the Download folder of the browser.

    For example, for Edge browser, the Download folder is located in the 3 dots from upper right corner, as shown below.

    For Chrome browser, the Download folder is also located in the 3 dots from upper right corner, as shown below.
