    Dear respected Dianne 365,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, if you have Word desktop client app to convert a Word document to PDF, you can follow these steps:

Open the Word document you want to convert.

Click on the "File" tab in the top-left corner of the Word window>select "Save As"> In the "Save as type" dropdown menu, select "PDF (*.pdf)"> "Save" button.

Your Word document will now be saved as a PDF file in the specified location.

Or in Word for web: File>Save as>Download as PDF.

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad

In addition to saving in the PDF format from Word, you can also "print" the document to the Microsoft Print to PDF printer. This will work for any file that can be printed, not just Word documents.

If you have the full Windows version of Word, you can use the Save As dialog box. Press F12 (or Fn+F12 on some keyboards), choose PDF for file type and save the document using the desired file name.
