A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Had this same issue.
It worked for one folder, did the same thing for the other and it requested login.
I ended up using another service to share the folders I needed to.

Hi,
As the subject of this question, OneDrive requires to login MS account when accesses to shared folder for Anyone.
I want to upload files from anywhere, even if I'm not sure if it's secured, with an MS login.
OneDrive UI shows me "Anyone" can view or edit this folder, but it still requires login when tries to edit or upload file.
Could you tell me how I can resolve this issue?
Thanks,
Jongseob

Hi Uktarsh, I have the same issue.
I am trying to share a folder to people and I wand anyone with the Link to be able to access it.
Now I am getting reports (mostly from android users) that it does not work for people that do not have a microsoft account.
I have followed your instructions - except asking people to empty their caches.
Can you advise?
Kind Regards,
Ray
Hi Utkarsh,
I tried again according to your guide but it still didn't work.
I'm subscribing "Microsoft 365 Personal" product, so Admin doesn't exist.
I wonder whether it's a policy related with security or just an issue.
Thanks,

Hello,
I have the same problem. I have a folder in my OneDrive (Family package) and I shared a link with a group of external people a while ago.
They were able to upload, download and edit files in the folder without having a Microsoft Account. A few days ago they reported, that a login-window appears, when trying to upload files. Downloading and editing Word or Excel files still work.
I can't figure out why this happens and double-checked the link and all permissions, but this window keeps appearing.
Because I only have the Family package, there is no Admin-Center to check other settings.
While troubleshooting this problem, I found a few website with people reporting the same problem.
I hope there is a fix or somthing.
Best Regards
