An error Error! Reference source not found. in all the places where there was a clause number.

Example in original document Clause 2.3 Does apply.

In a file copied and we are working it appears to be Clause Error! Reference source not found. Doesapply.

Every place where there is a clause number its like this .Almost in a 100 location. What can be the solution.

    Hi Anie,

    According to the error message, this means that the target of the cross references is missing in this document. Generally, to fix it, you need to either delete the cross reference or re-create it so that it refers to the appropriate part of the document. As Stefan mentioned, it will be a time-consuming task.

    Your description indicates that your document contains damaged cross-references. Something has happened to the cross-reference target or to the bookmark that encloses the target. Unfortunately, fixing the broken references/bookmarks may be a time-consuming task.
