Microsoft Whiteboard Arrow

I start use Microsoft whiteboard in my office to see if i can replace it with Miro.

one major issue that i see is that arrows don't connect to shapes, so if i move a shape all arrow point to that have to move manually one by one.

is that standard behaviour of the tool or am i missing something?

tool will be useless to help in design if that how it work.

    Hi Sadjad Hoodgar,

Thanks for posting back and pointing out my misunderstanding.

So, I suppose you are referring to the positioning/smart guides of a shape as shown in the image below.

    .

If not, please point it out and let me know. You can provide more details (image, gif, or video) for us to better understand.

    If so, currently, Microsoft Whiteboard doesn't have such a feature. I recommend you vote for the following suggestions in the Microsoft Feedback Portal where members also posted and voted for similar suggestions here.     Hi;

    Thanks for very fast respond,

I guess I did not well explain the issue, sorry about that, let me try again:
in the design apps (like Microsoft Visio, Miro, draw.io...) arrow attach to a shape like magnet, so if you move the shape arrow will follow that.

imagine you need to add a new shape in a big design page which have arrows already connected to shapes, now you move shapes and re structure you design, all arrows has to move again but normally in app like that arrow is connected to some point of a shape and no matter where the shape goes arrows follow.

I hope i explain well what i mean exactly by that.

    Hi Sadjad Hoodgar,

Thanks for posting in the community. We are happy to help you.

According to your description, I have tested it on my side and I can move the shape and arrows together as shown in the gif below.

    .

If there is any misunderstanding, please point it out and let us know.

If my understanding is correct, to troubleshoot the situation on your side, I recommend you check the following steps.

    1. Please click the shape and select it.
    2. Hold the "Ctrl" button and move the cursor hover over an arrow. When a blue rectangle appears and surrounds the arrow, please click the arrow, then both the shape and the arrow will be selected. You can repeat these steps to select multiple shapes.
    3. Later, you can move multiple shapes together.

If you can't do the above steps, or if the above steps don't help, I wonder if it happens in a specific whiteboard or all whiteboards. Please try to create a new blank whiteboard, then check again.

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,
