Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Dear Faisal Ahmed IT,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. It will be a pleasure working with you,
you are having trouble installing Microsoft Office 365 on your Windows 10 computer. This error code 0-1018 (0) usually occurs if another installation, update, or uninstall was running before you tried to install Office.
To fix this issue, you can try the following steps:
- Check for an Office icon in the Windows system tray and click it to check the install progress. If an install is already running, wait until it’s done before you start your Office install.
- Restart your computer and reinstall Microsoft 3651. To reinstall Office, select the version you want to install and follow the steps in this link.
- Use the Office uninstall support tool to completely uninstall Microsoft 365 from your computer and try reinstalling Microsoft 365 again1. You can download the tool from this link and follow the instructions.
- Temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus software2. Open “control panel” -> Navigate to “Windows Defender Firewall” -> Select “Turn off Widows Defender Firewall”2. Refer to this link to turn off antivirus protection in Windows Security.
- Perform a clean boot of your computer. In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click Selective Startup on the general tab. Uncheck or clear Load Startup Items (Note The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.) Click the Services tab. Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box. Click Disable All (Make sure to put check in all Intel or AMD processor).
I hope these steps help you resolve the error code 0-1018 (0) and install Microsoft Office 365 successfully. If you need more help, please let me know.
