OneNote: Can I save entire Notebook as PDF or HTML format?

I need to save my entire notebook (which includes several sections and pages) into a PDF file or an HTML file. Is there a way to achieve this? I need to access the content of the notebook without needing a OneNote program, and therefore any other formats are welcome (although PDF or HTML are more ideal). This feature is supported in other note taking apps such as Evernote which allows you to export the whole content of Evernote into HTML.

I have already tried selecting the notebook, but when I click "File > Save as PDF", I am only given the option to save a selected page instead of the whole notebook. Same thing happens when I click "File > Print..." and I select "PDF".

I am running OneNote v16.77 (23091003) running on macOS Ventura 13.0.

Thanks
Youssif

    Dear respected Youssif_1,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, I'm Sorry and I'm afraid, unfortunately in OneNote for Mac, to save entire notebook as PDF not available. We can use Save as PDF to export notes as a PDF file in OneNote for Mac. While it is available to the notes in a page rather than an entire notebook.

If you have Windows OS and installed OneNote 365 app (formally called OneNote 2016), you may easily can save/Export entire notebook as PDF file format.

In Windows OS, if you have OneNote 2016, you can go to File > Export > you can select PDF format to save section as PDF file, as shown below:

    .

Note: The above steps (Export this feature in only available in OneNote 2016 app), you may need to use OneNote 2016 to achieve your requirement

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad

Any update on this? Is it going to be added to the Mac version any time soon? Until then, I am not convinced about migrating to OneNote, it's important that the content is exportable at any time, in an open format.

Thanks a lot for your prompt response Waqas. I tried this on Windows and it is working for me. I am currently saving notebooks from there but ideally there should be a way to do this via the OneNote app for Mac (or at least from the web) given that it's the same app. In any case, I am happy with the workaround for now :-)

    Best regards
    Youssif
