Office 365 A1 for students OneDrive Size

Hello,

For the last 2 years I never had an issue with storage size but all of a sudden I am now using 631GB of the usable 5GB (see screenshot below), I have a "Office 365 A1 for students" subsctiption.

My now posing questions are:

  1. Was there a change in the amount of storage you get with the above-mentioned subscription?
  2. Is it possible to migrate all of the files to a different OneDrive with enough storage, if I am already using too much storage?

Thank you in advance!

Greetings,

Felix

    Dear Felix,

There seems to be some storage display issues in your OneDrive for Business site. Generally, the Office 365 A1 for students subscription comes with 1 TB of OneDrive storage by default.

If you want to migrate the files to another tenant, you may use the OneDrive sync client to sync the data between the old tent and the new tenant.

Thanks for your effort and time..

    Dear Felix,

Your school license is assigned correctly to your account, it is possible that your school has suddenly lowered the storage capacity of user OneDrive.

Since you now have limited features in your OneDrive, we don't have another way to move the files.

    Hello,

thank you for the reply. Here is the requested screenshot.

I am starting to download all the files, but as my wifi speed and storage are limited this is taking some time, is there no other way to move the files?

    Kind regards

    Felix

    Dear Felix,

    Thank you for the reply.

From this official article: My OneDrive says it's full - Microsoft Support, we can know the below:

    .

From your description, it may be the fourth reason. To check it, since you are using a school account, please go here and check whether your account has the right license. And please provide a screenshot of your subscription for us.

And since you have exceed your OneDrive storage quota, you won’t be able to upload files to your OneDrive. If you could download the files now, we suggest you download all the files for a backup, and then uploaded to the OneDrive of another account.

    Sincerely,

    Hello Cliff,

Thank you for the fast reply. I am unsure if it is simply a display issue, as I have been receiving emails from SharePoint stating that my 5 GB of storage is used up. Would these also occur if it is only the site?

Furthermore, I am unable to upload files to my OneDrive from my tablet because it says my OneDrive storage is full.

    Kind regards,

    Felix
