I have a school district laptop and the print default for Word is set at print on both sides. How can I change the default to print on one side only?

    Dear User,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

I understand your concern and to my knowledge, the Print Settings in the Word depends on the Printer Preference set in the Printer added to the Windows device. If you wan to set the Print side to single sided as a default, you need to change the Printer Preferences in the Windows Settings:

Quit Word application> Right-click on the Windows> Click on Start> Bluetooth & Devices> Printer & Scanners> Click on the Printer you want to set to the single sided> Printer Preferences> Set it to one sided> Apply> OK

    .

Moreover, the default Printer listed when you go to File> Print in the Office files depends on the default Printer set in the Windows.

If you are not able to make the changes to the Printer Preferences, it seems you need to contact your school IT admin for necessary changes.

Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,
    Sophia
