It's a brand new laptop and I need to boot into safe mode so it needs my recovery key. I've tried different browsers, also incognito, cleared cache, made sure my account was current, etc etc. I keep getting this same Microsoft Account Error "try a different URL We don’t have anything to show you at this link. Try searching for what you want, instead.

I see other people have had issues, but I don't see a resolution anywhere. Help.

    Hi,
I am facing the same issue now. Did anyone find a fix for this issue?
I can see the device listed under the 'Devices' tab but it gives 'try a different URL' message when trying to open the recovery key. Tried different devices to access the code, tried different networks, cleared the cache. Nothing seems to work.

Hi, I'm Taiwo and I'd be happy to help you with your question. In this Forum, We are Microsoft consumers just like yourself. Since you're encountering an error message when trying to retrieve your BitLocker recovery key from the Microsoft Account website, you can try the following steps: 1. Instead of navigating through search results or external links, try accessing the Microsoft Account website directly. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/ and sign in with your Microsoft account credentials. 2. Clearing your browser's cookies and cache can help resolve any temporary issues or conflicts that might be causing the error. Go to your browser's settings or preferences and find the options to clear cookies and cache. After clearing them, close the browser and try accessing the Microsoft Account website again. 3. Try using a different web browser altogether. This can help determine if the problem is specific to your current browser. Popular alternatives include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari. Remember to sign in with your Microsoft account credentials on the new browser. 4. Try accessing the Microsoft Account website from a different device or network. This will help identify if the issue is specific to your current device or network configuration. I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions. Best Regards, Thank You.

I’ve done all of this. I’ve tried from a computer at work, I’ve tried from my phone off WiFi. It’s all the same.
