Migration Tool for Importing Evernote into OneNote

Good morning, Microsoft Support Community Team!

Is there a reputable free tool for migrating my Evernote notes to OneNote? While I like the Microsoft suite of applications, I had stayed with Evernote due to the sheer volume of notes that I had built up there since 2014. The free Evernote tier is not as capable nor as free anymore, which is Karma's way of telling me, "Yo, dude, it's time to take the long overdue plunge into OneNote."

I should have made the migration to OneNote years ago since the [https://www.onenote.com/import-evernote-to-onenote](https://www.onenote.com/import-evernote-to-onenote "www.onenote.com") importer tool has gone 404.

question Evernote notebook and select Export just got a message saying I can only export 100 notes at one time I have been with them for over a decade. This will take days transferring batches of notes 100 at a time not to mention confusion organizations, the cost of frustration might be worth staying.

    Feeling trapped

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I found my problem - it was that I had the "tags" marked when I created the export file. I was not using tags so I just unchecked that for the export and the import into Onenote worked fine. The only problem that remained is that I had password protected some of the notes in Evernote and the content of the imported note was just misc characters. What I ended up doing for the password protected notes was open them up in Evernote and decrypt them and then copy the content into the note in Onenote. Once you do that then you can put the notes that you want password protected into a separate "section" in Onenote and then password protect that section. The content of all of the notes in that section will be hidden until you enter your password string for that section and then the notes and content will be visible. Apparently you cannot password protect an individual note in Onenote (at least I cannot figure out how to do that if it is possible). If anyone knows how to do that it would be great to find out how.

    Thanks
