Issue with PowerPoint Cameos

I am using Microsoft® PowerPoint® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2310 Build 16.0.16924.20054) 64-bit. I was recording a presentation using the Record tab. Decided to try the Cameo and inserted one into my presentation. I have since deleted it but it continues to show up whenever I attempt to record from this presentation and is now appearing in any presentation that I attempt to record. How can this be removed? In addition, it makes all of the tabs in PowerPoint not visible unless they are clicked on.

    was this issue solved? I am having exactly the same problem, trying to record my power points and instead having a cameo showing up!

    Thank you for reply. I have exactly the same set up (HP laptop docked with two monitors). Thinking back on what happened, during the prep of my power point somehow I added a cameo link in 20 slides. I noticed this 'smiley' icon on the bottom right of those slides. I then deleted this icon manually. However, when in my recording I hit those slides, even if my camera was off (as you suggested from the presented view), even if I cleared the recording in the presenter view and in the power point itself.....every recording on those slides was a video of myself (with no sound). I solved the problem by going to my office (power point in my office computer doesn't have cameo), and only in that case, when I cleared the recordings on those slides, I was able to record sound and mouse movement.

    I still don't know how to really clear a slide when a cameo has been inserted. ;

    Thank you again

    Yes. Maybe this will work for you. I was using a Dell laptop that was docked with dual monitors. I was finally able to turn it off when I was connected to the docking station and opened my laptop using presenter view when recording the presentation. With the three screens open there is a camera toggle on/off on the screen of the laptop. It was as easy as turning off the camera on the laptop screen. Good luck. Screenshot attached for you. It is a little blurred.

    Here are screen shots and a screen recording of a powerpoint file where I have never inserted a cameo. You will see that the cameo is not in the file, but appears when the record button is clicked. Version 2310 (Build 16924.20124) https://***/Engagement-Survey-Results this is a link to the screen recording.
