How come I don't have shape format option

I already tried watching tutorials but i am not sure whether u need the paid version to have access to this option

    In PowerPoint for the web, whatever formatting is available will appear on the Shapes tab.

    You can:

    • set the shape style
    • change the fill or outline to other solid colors
    • set the Alt text
    • change the stacking order
    • change the width or height.

    That's all that's available in that version. For other operations, you'll have to use a desktop edition in Windows or macOS. The desktop programs are not included with many educational licenses.

    Many features of the desktop (ie, paid) version aren't available on the free web version, including some of the formatting options.

    Im using powerpoint online. I can insert shapes but I cant format the shape. The license is owned under my school.
