    Hello Andea,

Thanks for contacting us. It sounds like you have accidentally enabled the Dark Mode in Word, which changes the page background to black and the text to white. This can make it hard to see the document, especially if you are used to the light mode. To change the background in MS Word, you can follow these steps:

-Go to the Design tab on the ribbon menu. -Click on the Page Color button and select the color you want for the page background. You can choose from the theme colors, the standard colors, or more colors. You can also select Fill Effects to apply a gradient, texture, pattern, or picture to the page background. -Alternatively, you can click on the Switch Modes button to toggle between the dark and light page background colors. This will not affect the print or web view of your document, only the editing view.

You can also disable the Dark Mode in Word entirely by changing the Office theme to another color, such as white or gray. To do this, you need to follow these steps:

-Go to the File tab and click on Account. -Under the Office Theme section, click on the drop-down menu and select the color you want for the Office theme. You can also select Use system setting to match the Windows theme. -Click on Apply and restart Word.
