How do I get my Onedrive to stop saving screenshots in the Onedrive photos tab?

I've looked it up but Microsoft's solution doesn't work. I have the setting turned off but they still appear in my Onedrive Photos.

    Interesting.

I have both the personal and work OneDrive installed on my machine. Neither one has any of those "tabs" or the things mentioned above.

I also have the Snipping Tool... and it does NOT have 3 dots. But that tool saves to the clipboard by default.

So the question still stands... HOW to STOP OneDrive from sending the PrintScreen key to OneDrive????

I've reset the keyboard option to open Snipping tool when that key is pressed and it did NOT take it. OneDrive has a death-grip on the printscreen key now.

    Hello, Ethan French.

Thanks for reaching out to our Microsoft Community Forum.

We understand that you would like OneDrive to stop saving screenshots in the OneDrive photos tab.

If you did the steps below to stop OneDrive from saving screenshots, then we might need to try something else.

    1. Right-click on the OneDrive icon in the system tray and select "Settings".
    2. Go to the "Auto Save" tab.
    3. Under "Screenshots", select "Don't save screenshots".
    4. Click "OK" to save the changes.

Specifically, try resetting the OneDrive app using the steps below and once done make sure to repeat the steps above.

    1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
    2. Type "%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
    3. OneDrive will restart and the settings will be reset.

If the issue persists, fell free to reply to this thread so we can explore other solutions.

    Sincerely,

    Glenn Rue

Thanks for replying back, Ethan French.

Just to be clear though, are you using a personal OneDrive account? Or OneDrive for Business?

Also, is the issue happening in the OneDrive app or the web version of OneDrive?

Finally, can you provide us screenshot of the issue you are experiencing? This can help provide more context to this issue.

    I wait your response.

    Sincerely,

    Glenn
