Shared folder in Onedrive, when I "Add shortcut to my files" an internet shortcut is being made instead of the usual File Folder

All options did not work.

1. All files were already checked.
2. THATS THE OPTION THAT CREATES AN INTERNET LINK INSTEAD OF A FILE FOLDER.
3. That does not work as there is no button to sync shared folder.
4. Up to date.
5. After deleting everything, it just downloaded the same files.

Wasted a majority of my work time trying to fix this, what a joke.
The folder I want isn't even listed in shared with me, but I have an email from my colleague that has shared it with me.

Yes I do, we have shared folders among our colleagues with projects we are currently working on.

This isn't a we'll do things differently type of situation, we have multiple shared folders, and this is the only one to create these internet shortcuts instead of a file folder. We havne't done anything differently.

When sharing a new folder with the team we:

• Make a folder
• right click folder
• click on share
• add colleagues email addresses.

When getting access to a shared folder we:

• click on email link provided by onedrive that a colleague has shared a folder with you
• click on add sharecut to my files

This isn't supposed to be rocket science. Can microsoft fix your damn product, we were on gogle drive for a good 5 years, we moved to this one drive early this year and it has been issue after issue.

Last time it was shared folder links not working.

I have given up on this as none of your solutions have worked. I have instead started using another product as onedrive is not good enough.

Yes, that too has been tried mulitple times, and with a renamed folder, and with a copied folder with different name as well.

No button to sync at the top.

Second option did nothing after I tried to create a link after copying.

I also noticed the folder is not in my "Shared with me" folder, I have to click on the link sent from my colleague, anmd then it shows up in what's shared with me.
