Hi all,

Currently I am preparing for the Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) exam. In this exam different sort of questions will occur, including 'multiple answer' questions (where for example 4 answer options are provided and more than 1 are right).

I am wondering now how these questions will be graded. More specifically; will I only receive points if I select ALL the right answers (1), or will you also receive some points if I am able to point out for example 1 good answer (2)?

I am asking this because it is quite relevant for the 'answering strategy'. If #1 is true, it is always worth the effort to select a 2nd option, even though I am not sure of it. If #2 is true, it may be wise to select only the one option I know for sure and just leave it there.

Hope someone can help me in this matter. Many thanks in advance! :)

Best regards,
Luuk Holtappels

PS. I don't really get what this 'Tags' thing is doing here but I had to fill in something but this is not relevant for my question.

    Hi,

On a multiple choice, multiple select question, each correct answer is usually worth one point. It will mention this in the question itself so you will know. Please see below article:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/certifications/exam-scoring-reports#how-exams-are-scored

If you haven't already, please complete the Exam Demo using this link: https://aka.ms/examdemo

Carefully read/study each screen in the demo, because there are details to pick up on and learn, even for something seemingly small like the initial introduction screen that tells you name of exam, how many questions, etc. On the real exam, you should make mental note of contents of its introduction screen, because it is important to know total number of questions, whether or not there is case study or lab, total time, etc. Once you are taking the exam, you don't want to make the mistake of thinking you have finished all the questions and thus have plenty of time to review when you haven't yet seen the total number that was specified at the start. Yes, people have made this mistake and failed their exam as a result.

Please click Accept Answer if above was helpful.

    Thanks.
