Microsoft To Do: After completing a task, it reappears later as not done

Hello

I've noticed that tasks marked as completed are re-appearing within a few minutes as not competed. I'm using Planner to push tasks to ToDo and planner is working fine on it's own, but it does not register when marking tasks as completed in ToDo.

I'm using version 2.106.62701.0, and I have tried both the webb application and the teams version and both have the same issue.

Does this happen to anyone else? Can somebody please enlighten me as to why this is happening and how to stop it?

    Hi Tobias

I'm AnnaThomas and I'd happily help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

There may be a sync issue between Microsoft To Do and Planner. You can try to force a sync by opening Microsoft To Do, clicking on your profile picture, and selecting “Sync now”. You can also check the sync status by clicking on the gear icon and selecting “Sync status”. If the sync is not working properly, you may need to sign out and sign in again, or reinstall the app.

There may be a conflict between the due dates or recurrence settings of the tasks in Microsoft To Do and Planner. You can try to edit or remove the due dates or recurrence settings of the tasks in either app and see if that resolves the issue. You can also check if the tasks have any dependencies or assignments that may affect their completion status

I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.

    Best Regards,

    AnnaThomas

    Hello Tobias,

Unfortunately, I don't have any further troubleshooting to offer.

There are many knowledgeable users active on the forum and I hope that someone else can offer further insight into your issue.

    Thanks

    Hi AnnaThomas,

Thank you for taking the time to awnser my question. I have tried to force a sync in both ways you have discribed. I have also signed out and reinstalled ToDo. I have tried everything I can think of and nothing is working.

Planner is pushing tasks to multiple people and all of them have the same issue. I'm unsure if there as been a update that have disturbed the sync.
