How to center image in header

I'm having a very annoying problem, when I try to add an image anywhere or in the header it always stays stuck there and I can never move it freely, I try setting the wrap text to float over text but when I drag it, it won't work, it either does nothing or forces itself back to line text which is super annoying.

the image doesn't wanna resize to the left and up, there's always a big space on the left and up on the page that just won't go away, yes I tried changing margins but I really don't know what to do.

btw I'm NEW to word so please can anyone help me?

Activate the header/footer view by double-clicking the header area.

If the image is "In line with text," you can center it as you would center an ordinary text paragraph with Ctrl+E.

If the Text Wrapping of the image is set to something else, you can move the image around via drag & drop. Exact position options can be set in the Layout dialog box.

If your image is not floating but is in-line-with text, the ordinary Center align button or keyboard shortcut will work Ctrl+E.

You can also place the image in the center cell of a three-cell single column table and set that cell to center. The table structure does not need to be visible; you can set it to not have any borders.

    Hi Rey G,

Thank you for reaching out. My name is Leo, a user just like you. I'd be happy to help you with your concern.

May I know which version of Microsoft Office you are currently using? Could you also clarify if you are using the Office desktop version or the web version? If it is the desktop version, kindly try using other options for wrapping text, such as through, top and bottom, or fix position on the page, which will allow you to choose where to place the image on the page. You can also refer to this link for more information on how to move pictures in Word. Link: https://support.microsoft.com/office/becff26a-d1b9-4b9d-80f8-7e214557ca9f
