Why is Microsoft converting my Office 2021 to 365

This is a joke, Microsoft converts my Office 2021 to Office 365 (and I have never had office 365 to start off with). So, before someone gives the standard "did you uinstall office 365" the following.

  1. I have used your uninstall tool, SetupProd_OffScrub to uninstall 365 (which I have never installed) and guess what, office 365 uninstalled and my orginial bought copy, Office 2021, also uninstalled. This is the only proof I need to know that microsoft overwrote my office 2021 with office 365.
  2. I re-installed my Office 2021 (which I bought) just to once more be converted to office 365 immediately after installing office 2021.
  3. When I start ANY office product, Excel, Word or Outloot I am forced to accept the Office 365 license agreement, if I don't then NOTHING works and I cannot use the product that I have bought.
  4. Yes, I have removed ALL certificates as well.

So, questions that I have:

  1. Are the developers at microsoft able to develop something that works?
  2. Is microsoft so deep in financial probplems that they are trying to force people to buy a yearly subscription?
  3. Is microsoft aware that their "productivity" products are causing more problems than solutions?
  4. Since I have done everything suggested on these forums am I forced to reinstall Windows in order to use a product bought from microsoft because microsoft themselves has no idea how licensing works.

This is a joke, an utter joke. I am losing hours because a company does not know how to apply a license, how to honour a product that was bought or have any idea how to maintain their own products or in fact, how digital licensing works. I DO NOT HAVE AN OFFICE 365 SUBSCRIPTION. Nor do you need to determine which product to install, I have the product, which I want to use. Perhaps offer less help and less assistence and ensure you know what you are doing and perhaps people would be happier.

I appreciate that you are trying to help, but I don't understand where you are getting your information from. I have a legit version of MS office that I purchased from MS a couple of years ago. Last week all of a sudden it converted itself to a 365 account. I have no desire to pay MS again for software I bought and no desire to enable MS to use my documents for training chatGPT. MS has literally stolen software from me and they are doing nothing to help restore it.

I have signed into the Microsoft Account of a friend after downloading and running the Microsoft Uninstall tool. In their Microsoft Account I clicked on Services and Subscriptions getting a list of purchased products, From there I requested the reinstallation of their Office 2021 Professional Plus and guess what I ended up back with Office 365. I am not a happy camper Microsoft. I have also returned their laptop to its factory settings and reinstalled everything to once again end up with the same problem. Such a waste of time with no solution in sight.

And there you have Tibor, people supporting the biggest spyware company in the world, selling their programs as solutions with a singular purpose, to steal your information. A prime example, the “new” teams, which, if tested by the developers at MS would have realized that this won’t even pass a BETA test. And how does MS sell this? Better integration and better productivity. So, MS, here is a shocker – it does not work!

Office 365 has more telemetry than their OS, and if you think this is good, keep on using the greatest spyware OS and “productivity” suite ever.  If you are not using any 365 products, just a tip – don’t. And if you do have an outlook.com account, do not use MS Outlook because you need to sign into your MS account as well as your email account (why? I don’t know, to spy I guess) but switch to another product, I use Thunderbird.  If you use Word or Excel (not the 365 version) you need not sign into your MS account at all and can use these products.  The problem is that MS wants you to sign into your MS account, again, just guessing, to steal your personal information and therefore has the extreme need to convert you into a slave (okay, to convert you using 365 and then become a slave).
