    Thanks but this doesn't apply to Sharepoint Excel which continues to use predictive text to fill in cells. Would be nice to have an option to turn that off for shared files please.

    To turn off auto-complete predictive text on Excel, please follow these steps:

    1. Open Excel and click on the "File" tab.
    2. Click on "Options" in the left-hand menu.
    3. Click on "Advanced" in the left-hand menu.
    4. Scroll down to the "Editing options" section.
    5. Uncheck the box next to "Enable AutoComplete for cell values".
    6. Click "OK" to save the changes.

    This will turn off the auto-complete predictive text feature in Excel.

    If you open that file in desktop application, it should work.
