I'm unable to find the recall/resend feature in MS 365 Outlook and it's really convenient to use it sometimes.

Hi A N, thank you for taking your time to reply my message

The availability of features can vary depending on the version of Outlook you are using. If you're using a version of Outlook that doesn't have the "Resend This Message" option, it's possible that the feature is not available in that specific version. Online Version of Outlook (Outlook.com): If you're not seeing the "Message" tab in the ribbon in Microsoft Outlook and are missing the "Resend This Message" option, it's possible that the feature might be located in a different location depending on your Outlook version or configuration.

Here's an alternative method to resend an email in Microsoft Outlook:

    Open Sent Items:

Go to your "Sent Items" folder in Outlook. Open the Email to Resend:

Double-click on the email you want to resend to open it. Resend Option:

Look for a "More Actions" or "Actions" dropdown menu in the toolbar at the top of the email window. Select Resend This Message:

Within the dropdown menu, there might be an option like "Resend This Message" or "Resend Message." If you still can't find the option using this method, it's possible that the feature might be dependent on the type of email account you are using (Exchange, POP, IMAP) or the specific version of Outlook you have.

Additionally, the availability of certain features can vary based on whether you are using the web version of Outlook (Outlook.com), the desktop version of Outlook (part of Microsoft Office), or the Outlook app.

If you are using a version of Outlook that is part of Microsoft 365 or Office 2019, the "Resend This Message" option should be available within the "Actions" or "More Actions" menu in the toolbar when viewing a sent email.

    i hope this help

    kind regards Ifeoluwa

    Hi ifeoluwa,

Thank you. I found the recall feature and also found, on my system, that resend is not available anywhere. I don't have the "Message" tab in the ribbon. Is it an add-on?

in my personal experience , Microsoft 365 Outlook has a feature called "Recall Email," which allows you to recall or replace messages that you have sent. Here are the general steps to recall or resend an email in Microsoft 365 Outlook:

Recall an Email: Open your "Sent Items" folder in Outlook.

Double-click on the email message you want to recall to open it.

If you are using the web version of Outlook:

Open the sent email by clicking on it in the "Sent Items" folder. Go to the "Message" tab in the Ribbon.

Click on "Actions" or "More Actions" (the wording may vary depending on your Outlook version).

    Select "Recall This Message."

In the Recall This Message dialog box, choose whether you want to:

"Delete unread copies of this message" "Delete unread copies and replace with a new message." Click "OK" to recall the message.

but it's important to note that the success of recalling an email depends on various factors, such as the recipient's email settings and whether they have already opened or read the message.

    kind regards ifeoluwa
