    @ Ajibola.

There is no such thing as File > Account in Office for Mac.

Please provide correct information for Mac users or delete your reply.

    Thanks.

How do I know if I'm included in a family subscription? Is there someone at Microsoft to ask??

    Thanks

I don't think that Microsoft has a way to keep track of shared subscriptions. (Microsoft does keep track in the sense that you can't add more users than the license allows for, and you also can't activate more devices than the license allows for.)

If someone in your household subscribes to Microsoft 365 Family, you can ask that person to send you an invitation. You would then accept the invitation and install Office using a personal e-mail address.

Just to be clear, this is a Microsoft 365 Family subscription? It can be shared by up to six people, including the person who is paying for the subscription. Each user can install the product on multiple devices, but there is a limit to the number of simultaneous activations. The person in your household who is paying for the subscription should sign in to their account and verify that the subscription is active.

Greetings! I am Ajibola, and I am eager to assist you with confidence and assertiveness. I guarantee to provide you with exceptional support.

One of the common causes of the log-in error is that your Microsoft account is not recognized as a valid account for the apps. You may need to check if your account is linked to the apps and has the right permissions. To do this, you can follow these steps

    • Open any of the desktop apps, such as Word or Excel, and click File > Account.

    • Under User Information, make sure that your Microsoft account email address is displayed. If not, click Sign out and then Sign in with the correct account.

    • Under Product Information, make sure that your Microsoft 365 Family subscription is activated. If not, click Activate Product and follow the instructions.

    • Restart the app and try to log in again.
